Quiktrip Plaza & Playground

About This Project

Designed to be a destination for families to relax, have fun and enhance River Parks, the plaza and playground gift celebrates the 50th Anniversary for QuikTrip. The new plaza has an arbored entry to an elegantly paved space that includes a craftsman styled shelter, rest rooms, tabled seating and a lighted geyser fountain. The playground is a focal point, providing an area for toddlers age (2-5) and another area for older children age (8-12). The pour-in-place rubber safety surface and innovative play equipment accommodate 118 children. Pyramidal berms around the playground perimeter block the view of the parking lot, and provide a play area for children and casual seating for adults. Five interactive fountains with dancing water jets, cascading steps, a lazy river, a bubbler table, and a geyser fountain make this a refreshing treat during Oklahoma summers.
