Dickson Street has been a popular destination for Fayetteville’s residents and college students throughout the years, with so much to offer, Dickson Street needed a face-lift that would define its boundaries and convey a unified character along its entire 3000’ length. A razorback, will be created using colored concrete and brick pavers within the intersection at Arkansas Avenue. New ADA accessible concrete sidewalks with brick accent strips behind the curb will also create continuity along the Dickson Street corridor. Due to the great number of pedestrians, brick pavers will also be used at major intersections and crosswalks throughout the project to provide much needed traffic calming. Other amenities include planters with seat walls, light posts with banner connections, site furniture including benches, litter receptacles, informational kiosks and bike racks. Street trees and shrub plantings are placed at highly visible locations along Dickson Street.
