Charles Page Boulevard

About This Project

The project scope involved wayfinding signage for the Gilcrease Museum and also located special arrival points within the Charles Page area such as Newblock Park, WaterWorks Art Studio and the Glide sculpture. The project also included identifying some of the history of the Charles Page Area as a trolley route that carried passengers from downtown Tulsa to Sand Springs many years ago.

Two trolley stop structures, one at the corner of Gilcrease Museum Road and one in Newblock Park, were built to identify the areas where trolley stops once occurred. They include signage within the structures to tell the history of the stops and the trolley line. The trolley stops are landscaped, irrigated and lighted. New brick and concrete walkways from the existing Katy Trail to the structures provide resting areas for trail users and bus riders.
