About This Project
Skiatook Veterans Park provides a beautiful relaxing environment for visitors to celebrate the service and honor the sacrifice of United States military veterans. Curved paths guide visitors to focal points that recognize and honor veterans and their families. These focal points include a covered memorial pavilion, memorial bricks, and benches. Additionally, various monuments bring attention to the service and sacrifice of Blue Star mothers, Gold Star families, prisoners of war, and first responders. The park also brings awareness to the tragedy of veteran suicide. The heart of this design stands a flag courtyard, featuring each branch of the United States military, the United States and Oklahoma State Flag. Skiatook Veterans Park is centrally located on Main Street directly across from Central Park. ADA compliant parking is conveniently located at the park.
